Basement cleanout

Basement cleanouts.
Long Island, NY.

Everything that went down the stairs and never came back up — text us photos of the basement and we'll quote the whole job.

Basement full of boxes, bins and old furniture before a Duck Soup basement cleanout
What's down there

Down the stairs.
Out the door.

Basements collect everything that wasn't quite junk yet — old furniture, boxes of who-knows-what, a spare appliance. You don't have to carry any of it up. Our crew handles the carrying and loading; just tell us what's down there and how we get to it.

  • Old furniture
  • Boxes & storage bins
  • Spare appliances
  • Mattresses & box springs
  • Shelving & workbenches
  • General clutter
The one thing that's different

Tell us about
the stairs.

Stairs and tight spots are what make a basement different from a garage — they decide how much carrying the job takes. A quick note in your text is plenty.

  • How you get in and out — stairs inside, an outside entrance, or both.
  • How many flights, and how tight the stairwell is.
  • Doorway width for anything bulky, like a sofa or an appliance.
  • How far the truck can park from the door.
For your photo estimate

What to photograph.

Same idea as any Duck Soup quote: photos, your ZIP code, and a note on where things are. For a basement, these are the shots that help most.

  • Wide shots of each area, so we can see the overall volume.
  • The stairs and the path to the door.
  • Close-ups of anything big or heavy — appliances, furniture, a workbench.
  • Anything you're unsure about, like paint cans or chemicals.
Appliances down there

A spare refrigerator, washer, dryer or old water heater can go in the same job. If it's still hooked up, it needs to be disconnected before we arrive. See appliance removal.

Paint, chemicals & the rest

Basements are a common home for half-used paint and chemicals. Some hazardous or regulated materials may not be accepted — send a photo and we'll tell you before you schedule. See what we take.

What affects the price

Volume. Stairs. Special handling.

01

Volume

How much is down there — the main factor, as with any cleanout.

02

Stairs & carry

Flights of stairs, long carries to the truck and tight spaces all mean more labor.

03

Special handling

Appliances, and anything that needs separate handling, can change the number. See how pricing works.

Clearing more than the basement?

Send photos of everything and we'll quote it as one job — see garage cleanouts, or all cleanouts.
